Congratulations, Class of 2026!
The Interdisciplinary Social Science Programs (ISSP) will have a joint Department Commencement Ceremony for the Global Studies and the Political Economy majors on Monday, May 18th, 9 am at Zellerbach Auditorium.
COMMENCEMENT TICKETS
Graduating students walking in the Commencement Ceremony do not need a ticket for themselves. Please wear a cap and gown.
Guest tickets can be purchased from the Cal Performances Ticket Office for $15 each and there will be a limit of eight tickets that may be purchased for family and friends.

NOTE: All tickets will be sent via email four days before the event. All ticket sales are final; tickets are not refundable. The email with the tickets should be printed and brought to the ceremony or can be shown on a smartphone.
Tickets are REQUIRED for guests and no guest will be allowed to enter the Zellerbach Hall without a ticket.
All seating at the Zellerbach Hall is general admission and is first-come, first-served (saving seats is not permitted).
CAPS & GOWNS
This year, commencement regalia is available through a rental program. Order your rental gown before March 27 for pickup at the Cal Student Store or before April 20 for shipping to your address (starting at an additional $18.10). Every rental includes a cap and tassel for you to keep. After the ceremony, simply return your gown at a designated collection point. The rental gowns are EarthGrad™ regalia, made from 100% recycled materials as part of UC Berkeley’s commitment to sustainability.
COMMENCEMENT REGISTRATION
In order to participate in the Commencement Ceremony and for your name to appear in the Commencement Program, you must register for the event.

- This is a two-part form. The first part is an Exit Survey. After completing the Exit Survey, you will be taken to the Commencement Registration form. Your name will not be printed in the Commencement Program if you do not register.
- The deadline to complete registration is Tuesday, April 18th, 2026.
